Macon Lowman
I am a nurse, public health advocate, and mother who knows that birth rarely follows a single path. I’ve welcomed babies through both vaginal and cesarean birth, and I’ve also walked the tender road of pregnancy loss. These experiences shaped my deep empathy and my belief that every family deserves support that honors their choices and makes space for birth to unfold with meaning and empowerment.
My background in nursing spans labor and delivery, postpartum, pediatrics, and neonatal care, and my studies in maternal and child public health ground my teaching in evidence-based knowledge of pregnancy, birth, and early development. I also studied exercise psychology and practiced its principles as a former collegiate athlete, learning how breath-work, visualization, and mindful focus help the body remain resilient through intensity. I now weave these tools into childbirth education — guiding parents to trust their bodies, release fear, and meet birth with calm and confidence.
At Ten Moons, I bring together clinical experience, holistic practices, and lived wisdom to create a safe, nurturing space for families. My hope is that every parent leaves our classes not only informed, but more deeply connected to themselves, their baby, and the transformative power of birth.
When I’m not teaching, I find renewal outdoors — trail running, camping, paddleboarding, and adventuring with my husband and our two young children.
